『자본주의는 자본주의와 싸운다』는 21세기 우리가 당면한 문제의 근원이 자본주의에서 기인한 것인지, 민주주의 실패에 의한 것인지에 대해 민주주의보다 자본주의가 새 시대의 정치경제적 위기를 부르는 주범이라고 주장합니다.
과대성장한 자본주의에 의해 기능이 훼손당한 민주주의를 해결하기 위해서는, 기술과 자본이 결합한 자본주의 시대에 개인의 자유를 지켜낼 수 있는 국가에 달려 있으며, 국가라는 제도를 통해 자유 민주주의의 회복을 도모해야 한다고 말하고 있습니다.
자본주의와 전쟁, 그리고 우리가 만들어야 할 국가에 대한 진솔한 이야기를 저자와 함께 나누게 될 것입니다.
